Job Description

Remote is seeking a Managing Counsel, Employment Legal to join their Legal Team. This role is an individual contributor position focused on delivering pragmatic and innovative legal solutions for Remote’s products and stakeholders. The Managing Counsel will play a crucial role in ensuring Remote's products and platform comply with employment laws across various jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a wide range of employment law issues across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely and effective completion of projects.
  • Contributing to the Legal Team's knowledge base and expertise.
  • Mastering employment law and contracts for particular regions.
  • Identifying company-wide employment law legal issues and implementing solutions.
  • Contributing to the Legal team’s sustainable growth and structure.
  • Building relationships with key senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified French lawyer (mandatory).
  • Experience in advisory and contentious employment law.
  • Passionate about tech (particularly HR tech) products.
  • Previous in-house experience in an HR Tech, IT or SAAS company is a strong plus.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to switch between multiple different projects.
  • Well-versed in modern business and legal tools such as Slack and Notion.
  • Eager to learn about different legal systems.
  • Writes and speaks fluent English and French.
