Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Harbinger, an American commercial electric vehicle company, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their team in Garden Grove, CA. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of industrial equipment, performing mechanical adjustments, preventive and corrective maintenance, and complying with industrial safety standards.Responsibilities include:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Conducting mechanical adjustments to improve equipment performance and longevity.
• Ensuring adherence to industrial safety standards, including LOTO procedures.
• Operating forklifts as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS.
• Assisting in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Monitoring equipment performance metrics and recommending improvements.
• Performing routine inspections to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.
• Developing and updating preventive maintenance documentation and operational procedures.
• Managing critical spare parts inventory.
• Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers.
• Upholding 5S principles.
• Being available for weekend and off-shift work as needed.

Requirements include:

• Proven experience in industrial equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair automated machinery and production equipment.
• Understanding of industrial safety protocols and experience with LOTO procedures.
• Familiarity with CMMS software (MaintainX or similar systems) for maintenance tracking.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
