Job Description
Tailscale is seeking a Customer Account Executive to join their rapidly growing Sales team. This role is crucial in expanding and renewing current customer accounts within the developer security space. The Customer Account Executive will identify additional use cases, educate clients on new feature releases, and ensure successful adoption of Tailscale across existing customer accounts. They will collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Product teams.

Role Involves:
  • Becoming an expert in how Tailscale helps customers.
  • Building a credible pipeline every quarter by engaging with clients on upsells and renewals.
  • Owning an upsell and renewal number across accounts.
  • Educating customers on the value of Tailscale throughout the evaluation & adoption cycle.
  • Providing accurate weekly forecasting & revenue delivery.
  • Creating mutual action/success plans with prospective and existing customers.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of closing experience in an AE or an AM role.
  • A strong desire to join a high-growth software startup in a fully remote role.
  • Experience selling developer and/or technical products, especially in a product-led growth (PLG) motion.
  • Experience presenting to senior managers and executives.
  • The ability to manage many opportunities simultaneously at various stages.
  • Experience using Gong, or similar, to collaborate internally and manage pipeline.
  • Experience partnering with a Sales Engineering team, support, and customer success team to drive positive outcomes for clients.
