Ultrasound Tech - PRN

West Cancer Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. The technologist will ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality imaging while providing patient-centered care. This role requires technical proficiency, professionalism, and a patient-focused approach. No nights, weekends, or holidays are required.

The role involves:

• Performing ultrasound examinations.
• Monitoring and assessing patient condition.
• Providing education and guidance to team members.
• Ensuring optimal image quality.
• Operating RIS/PACS systems.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies.
• Participating in department meetings.
• Staying current with continuing education requirements.

Requirements:

• Completion of an educational pathway approved by ARDMS.
• Certification and registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular Technology.
• Must obtain ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire if not already held.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficient in performing diagnostic ultrasound exams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Skilled in managing workflow, tasks, and imaging systems.
• Competency in critical thinking, patient care, and documentation.
