West Cancer Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. The technologist will ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality imaging while providing patient-centered care. This role requires technical proficiency, professionalism, and a patient-focused approach. No nights, weekends, or holidays are required.
The role involves: - Performing ultrasound examinations.
- Monitoring and assessing patient condition.
- Providing education and guidance to team members.
- Ensuring optimal image quality.
- Operating RIS/PACS systems.
- Maintaining inventory of supplies.
- Participating in department meetings.
- Staying current with continuing education requirements.
Requirements: - Completion of an educational pathway approved by ARDMS.
- Certification and registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular Technology.
- Must obtain ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire if not already held.
- BLS certification required.
- Proficient in performing diagnostic ultrasound exams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Skilled in managing workflow, tasks, and imaging systems.
- Competency in critical thinking, patient care, and documentation.
