Investment Manager, Hardest-to-Reach Initiative – Development Facility at Acumen

Acumen is seeking an Investment Manager for its Hardest-to-Reach Initiative, Development Facility, to lead sourcing, evaluating, underwriting, and managing private investments for off-grid solar enterprises. This initiative aims to expand and grow access to solar energy in underserved geographies in Africa.

About the role:

The Investment Manager will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, underwriting, and managing private investments for off-grid solar enterprises.

Role Involves:

• Leading multiple transactions throughout the entire deal lifecycle.
• Conducting financial analysis and create financial models.
• Writing Investment Memoranda and present investment opportunities.
• Monitoring investment performance, including impact and financial targets.

Requirements:

• Experience with leading on investments throughout the entire deal lifecycle.
• Investment structuring experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to build financial models.
• Around 5 years of work experience and at least 3 years of experience in finance.
• Great communication skills.
• Experience investing or working in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Candidates applying from Nigeria or Kenya must be eligible to work in that country.
• Experience in energy access is desired.
