Pharmacist Full-Time - Midtown

Job Description

West Cancer Center is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist for its Midtown location. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing accurate and prompt drug therapy, current drug information, and drug utilization reviews. The role requires working under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy Operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily activities at the designated site.
• Maintaining all necessary logs.
• Stocking drug orders and supplies as required.
• Monitoring drug inventory to meet department goals.
• Ordering drug inventory.
• Communicating with infusion nurses and physician nurses to verify doses, drug information, availability, and interactions.
• Engaging with PhRMA representatives.
• Evaluating and dispensing investigational drug products.
• Preparing chemotherapy and other IV drugs.
• Restocking and auditing drug inventory.
• Providing drug information.
• Maintaining narcotic inventory and logs.
• Assisting with research drugs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• 1-2 years of pharmacy experience.
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a pharmacist in the state where work is performed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
