Job Description
West Cancer Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. The technologist will ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality imaging while maintaining a patient-focused approach. This role involves no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations.
- Monitor and assess patient condition.
- Provide education and guidance to team members.
- Ensure optimal image quality.
- Operate RIS/PACS systems.
- Maintain inventory of supplies.
- Participate in department meetings.
- Stay current with continuing education.
Requirements:
- Completion of an ARDMS-approved educational pathway.
- Certification and registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular Technology.
- BLS certification.
- Proficient in performing diagnostic ultrasound exams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Skilled in managing workflow, tasks, and imaging systems.
- Competency in critical thinking, patient care, and documentation.
