TheFork is seeking a Quality Automation Engineer (SDET) to join their team in Milan. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality and speed of testing workflows by building robust test infrastructure and providing expertise on internal automation tools. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams, monitoring release health, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of test coverage tools and CI/CD pipelines, along with experience in Playwright and Sonarcloud. They should also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Role Involves:

  • Building and maintaining test infrastructure
  • Monitoring release health and resolving issues
  • Reviewing test contributions and driving best practices
  • Managing Sonarcloud quality gates and improving coverage

Requirements:

  • Automation Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Playwright, Testing design patterns and/or familiarity with other end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Test Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong understanding of test coverage tools and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release monitoring.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to debug complex issues quickly and effectively, organize investigations, and communicate findings to all stakeholders.
  • Commitment to Quality Standards: Familiarity with Sonarcloud or similar quality-gate platforms, with experience implementing and enforcing code quality standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: You’re skilled at working with multiple teams, conveying technical insights clearly, and fostering an environment of shared responsibility for quality.
