Viator, a Tripadvisor company, is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its fast-growing team. This role is focused on backend development but may involve some frontend projects. The company is remote-first, and the position can be fully remote from anywhere in Portugal or hybrid from the Lisbon office.
The Software Engineer II will work closely with product managers and designers, participating in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment. They will primarily work on backend systems, with occasional frontend tasks as needed. The successful candidate should be eager to learn and work in a fun, friendly environment.
Role Involves:
- Working closely alongside product managers and designers.
- Participating in the full process from software design, to code, to test, to deployment and back again.
- Releasing code to production every few days and we have a daily release cycle.
Requirements:
- Experience with a statically typed, object-oriented language such as Java, C# or C++.
- Hunger to learn new technologies.
