Job Description
Harbinger is seeking a Senior Industrial/Productivity Engineer to lead productivity improvement initiatives across automotive manufacturing operations. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, reducing costs, implementing automation, and driving continuous improvement strategies. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence while maintaining high-quality and safety standards.

Role Involves:
  • Developing and implementing advanced productivity strategies.
  • Leading process optimization projects using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 methodologies.
  • Identifying and driving automation opportunities.
  • Conducting data analysis, time studies, and capacity planning.
  • Defining and monitoring KPIs.
  • Collaborating with leadership, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
  • Overseeing plant layout changes and equipment upgrades.
  • Standardizing work procedures and developing best practices.
  • Mentoring junior engineers.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Driving change management initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years in industrial engineering, manufacturing optimization, or process improvement within the automotive industry.
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience with automation, robotics, and smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software, manufacturing simulation tools, and data analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and ROI calculations.
  • Familiarity with ERP and MES systems.
