Altana, a company applying AI to supply chain data, is seeking a Business Development professional to join their Federal Business Development team. This role focuses on fostering relationships between Altana and U.S. defense entities. The ideal candidate will shape and win new deals, understand government needs, and align Altana's solutions with their objectives. The Business Development Manager will contribute to the success of the sales team and Altana as a whole.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building a data-driven strategy within the Department of Defense (DoD) market.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with DoD stakeholders.
  • Leading existing and future DoD programs.
  • Working cross-functionally with various teams.
  • Fostering a culture of trust and open communication.
  • Delivering on financial performance commitments.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 10+ years of experience in acquisition, business development, or DoD.
  • Knowledge in defense acquisitions.
  • Understanding of government contracting and budgeting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel 25-75% of the time.
  • Eligibility to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance.
