Box is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead engineering teams in its Warsaw office. This role involves leading, inspiring, and mentoring engineers, bridging communication between the US and Poland engineering hubs, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The Engineering Manager will spearhead significant technology initiatives and oversee the entire lifecycle of projects across multiple architectural layers.Role involves:
  • Leading a team of experienced engineers in Poland.
  • Defining the team's roadmap and execution plans.
  • Taking ownership of project delivery.
  • Developing team members through 1:1s, career planning, coaching, and hiring.
  • Building a collaborative, inclusive team focused on customer impact.
  • Cultivating a culture of excellence through emphasis on execution, quality, and scale.
  • Organizing stand-ups, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
  • Collaborating with product teams to scope new features and provide project estimates.
  • Working with cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Representing Box internally and externally.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a software engineering manager.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience with full-stack web applications and/or distributed systems.
  • Understanding of best practices.
  • Experience driving effective execution with agile processes.
  • People-oriented leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
