Job Description

Box is seeking a Software Backend Engineer III to join their expanding engineering team in Warsaw, Poland. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the future of content management in the cloud, impacting millions of users across major enterprises. The engineer will work within one of several teams, addressing complex challenges and developing innovative platform features.

The role involves:

  • Coding (55% of time)
  • Documentation (10% of time)
  • Bug fixes (20% of time)
  • Meetings (15% of time)

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Java, or PHP
  • Familiarity with Node.js is a plus
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services
  • Skilled in designing and developing APIs
  • Proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming
  • Passion for new technologies
  • Ownership mentality and strives for excellence
  • Proficient in English
