Associate Manager - Life Insurance

Job Description

PhonePe Group is looking for an Associate Manager - Life Insurance. The role is based in Pune and requires working from the PhonePe office every day. The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships with business partners and drive initiatives to streamline the insurance issuance process. The Associate Manager will use their expertise in life insurance operations and negotiation skills to ensure excellent customer experiences and minimize business loss.

Responsibilities include:

• Interacting with business partners to facilitate the issuance process.
• Leading negotiations to streamline underwriting rules.
• Contributing to business growth strategies with knowledge of the life insurance industry.
• Maintaining open communication with underwriting and business teams.
• Ensuring zero business loss through process enhancements.
• Implementing structural improvements with a customer-centric focus.
• Identifying and addressing issues within the customer journey.
• Staying abreast of industry trends and competitor USPs.
• Managing team members and overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Visiting partner locations frequently.
• Collaborating with internal teams to monitor daily operations.
• Analyzing root causes of errors and providing insights for issue resolution.
• Driving process automation and MIS.
• Liaising with external partners and vendors.
• Defining and communicating key metrics to management.
• Creating and maintaining documentation.
• Utilizing data analysis to drive business growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Background in Life Insurance and Insurance technology.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience in operations/business within the Life Insurance industry.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to manage stakeholders.
• Experience in team leadership is advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic knowledge of SQL.
• Willingness to travel to Partner locations.
