Box is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Content Creation team in Warsaw. The engineer will be at the forefront of real-time applications within Box, specifically focusing on Box Notes and Canvas products. This role involves re-architecting and refactoring legacy components of the codebase to ensure efficiency, scalability, and adaptability. The Staff Software Engineer will collaborate with architects and the team to propose innovative solutions to technical challenges, maintain high-quality standards, and manage efficient development timelines. They will also lead large-scale projects, assess technical feasibility, and ensure the re-architecture enables safe and maintainable development.
Role Involves:
Leading large-scale projects from start to finish.
Collaborating on re-architecting components.
Reviewing technical feasibility of project requirements.
Managing legacy code on both frontend and backend.
Participating in daily stand-ups and sprint meetings.
Requirements:
10+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong knowledge of data structures and software design principles.
Experience in frontend development (Typescript, React.js).
Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Experience in test automation.
Experience working with legacy codebases.
