Job Description
Box is seeking a Senior Staff Architect to join their Conversion Team. This team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining services related to processing customer content and creating representations that power various Box features. The Senior Staff Architect will define the next generation of architecture for this critical part of Box’s infrastructure.

What this role involves:
  • Owning and leading the conversion domain, including backend infrastructure and conversions.
  • Contributing to company objectives across teams and functions.
  • Working hands-on with code for prototyping and production changes.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team and leadership to develop platform evolution strategies.
  • Working with Product Management to refine requirements and break down complex projects.
  • Using a data-driven approach to devise strategies for processing customer content.
  • Representing the Conversion team in architecture-oriented discussions.

Requirements:
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of Software Development experience in distributed systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Software Architecture oriented role.
  • Excitement for solving complex technical problems using data-driven solutions.
