Senior Product Manager, Governance

Box is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive its Governance products, focusing on content lifecycle management and archiving solutions. This role is based in Redwood City, CA. The Senior Product Manager will develop strategies to help users manage content efficiently while adhering to regulatory requirements. They will also drive innovation within Box's Archive product, creating features that simplify access to archived materials while ensuring security and compliance.

What this role involves:

• Defining and refining the product vision and strategy for governance and archive solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales.
• Conducting market research on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
• Creating and maintaining the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer feedback.
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers to create intuitive user interfaces.
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to governance and archive products.
• Engaging with customers through interviews or surveys to gather insights.
• Staying updated on regulatory changes affecting data governance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in Data Governance, with a focus on governance frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience in product management.
• Ability to analyze data, user feedback, and market trends.
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience applying user-centered design principles.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Understanding of technology stacks related to cloud storage solutions.
• Ability to develop long-term strategies for product growth.
