Box is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their team in Osaka, Japan. This role involves supporting customers through demos, discussions, and training scenarios, as well as addressing technical and implementation inquiries. The Solutions Engineer will also handle RFP responses, security audits, and evaluate sales requests for Box's product management, platform, and engineering departments. They will serve as a product expert, effectively communicating its features to potential and existing clients, and providing support to partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Articulating the value of Box, including technical aspects, in meetings with customers and partners.
  • Creating proposal documents to address customer challenges and presenting them to key stakeholders.
  • Assisting and advising on integration implementations with other applications such as Microsoft, Salesforce, Google Workspace, and client's custom applications.
  • Promoting understanding and adoption of Intelligent Content Management (ICM) among customers.
  • Conducting Box product demos and technical training for prospects alongside the sales team.
  • Gathering product improvement requests from customers and the sales team, and escalating them to the US headquarters.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the IT industry, with 2+ years in presales, or experience as a project manager or IT consultant providing solutions to companies.
  • Proficiency in one or more IT areas such as cloud, infrastructure, middleware, applications, or security.
  • A mindset to identify customer challenges and propose solutions independently.
  • Knowledge of APIs is a plus.
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese.
  • Reading and writing proficiency in English.
