Job Description
Karya is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Manager to join their team in the Bay Area. The primary responsibility of the role is to spearhead fundraising efforts, ensuring a steady flow of resources to support operations and programs. The Development Manager will:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set fundraising goals.
  • Organize and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing donors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for donors.
  • Prepare proposals, grant applications, and reports.
  • Maintain accurate donor records.
  • Analyze fundraising data and metrics.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the leadership team.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related roles.
  • A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing fundraising strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in donor management software and database management.
  • Familiarity with the Bay Area philanthropic landscape and donor community is preferred.
