Job Description
Karya is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Manager to join their team in the Bay Area. The primary responsibility of the role is to spearhead fundraising efforts, ensuring a steady flow of resources to support operations and programs. The Development Manager will:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set fundraising goals.
- Organize and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing donors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for donors.
- Prepare proposals, grant applications, and reports.
- Maintain accurate donor records.
- Analyze fundraising data and metrics.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the leadership team.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related roles.
- A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in donor management software and database management.
- Familiarity with the Bay Area philanthropic landscape and donor community is preferred.
