General Ledger Senior Accountant (French speaking) at WPP

WPP is seeking a General Ledger Senior Accountant to join their team in Madrid. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of financial information. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards, as well as contributing to the optimization of management procedures within the organisation.

The role involves:

• Analysing items and detecting possible recording errors on the General Accounting Plan
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards
• Analyzing financial information, guaranteeing its integrity, accuracy and consistency
• Performing reconciliations between accounting and auxiliary modules
• Preparing general accounting entries
• Preparing specific reports based on data obtained from the different financial systems for presentation to management
• Making recommendations focused on optimising management, improving and simplifying procedures

The requirements for this role include:

• International financial accounting or audit experience
• Experience in statutory auditing and knowledge of SOX controls
• Knowledge of the General Accounting plan in France
• Advanced Excel level
• Fluency in English and French
