Senior Tax Director

WPP AUNZ is seeking a Senior Tax Director to join their in-house tax team in Sydney. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development, providing exposure to a wide range of tax compliance and consulting services across Australia and New Zealand.

The Role Involves:

• Assisting the Head of Tax in delivering tax compliance and consulting services.
• Ensuring timely tax compliance for the WPP AUNZ Group in Australia and New Zealand.
• Managing implications of Pillar II and anti-hybrid mismatch tax laws.
• Reviewing tax provision computations and year-end tax notes.
• Overseeing monthly GST computations and Payment Times Reports.
• Assisting with tax audits and investigations.
• Providing tax technical advice to internal teams and business units.
• Liaising with external advisors and government agencies.
• Maintaining tax registers and files.
• Seeking process improvement opportunities and implementing tax controls.
• Mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

• 15-20 years' experience as a taxation professional.
• CPA / Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Tertiary taxation degree/diploma.
• Deep understanding of tax effect accounting.
• Experience with CCH Tax Integrator.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient spreadsheet and presentation skills.
