Job Description
PhonePe is seeking an Associate Manager for Risk Investigations to join their Fraud Risk Operations team. This role is based in Bangalore and focuses on mitigating risk and improving trust and safety across PhonePe's products. The ideal candidate will manage a team of investigation specialists, providing leadership and administrative support to ensure service levels are consistently exceeded. They will also serve as a point of contact for resolving internal and external escalations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of Investigation specialists.
  • Provide leadership and administrative support.
  • Resolve internal/external escalations.
  • Set the vision, direction, and culture of the team.
  • Achieve process improvement via projects.
  • Formulate & implement Policies and Procedures to govern risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new projects/initiatives.
  • Define appropriate KRIs with thresholds and monitor violations for identified risks.
  • Promote sharing of Best Practices across Operations.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of Operations experience.
  • 3-5 years of People Management experience.
  • Experience in Program/Project management.
  • Domain expertise in payments/fintech is an added advantage.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Project management/Program management capability.
  • Strong bias for action with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, SQL.
