Senior Data Scientist at Dataiku

Dataiku is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its team in Sydney, Australia. The Senior Data Scientist will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI. This position involves client-facing responsibilities, including supporting platform discovery, integrating Dataiku with other technologies, user training, and co-developing data science projects.

Responsibilities:

• Scope and co-develop production-level data science projects.
• Help users discover and master the Dataiku platform.
• Provide strategic input to customer and account teams.
• Lead Data Scientist long-term engagements.
• Provide data science expertise to customers and internal teams.
• Lead technical data science projects pre-sales.
• Flag technical and non-technical account risks.
• Navigate customer conflict.
• Develop custom Python-based “plugins”.
• Run demo booth/tech talk duties at public events.
• Contribute to internal assets.
• Mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

• Curiosity and a desire to learn.
• Empathy and eagerness to share knowledge.
• Ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
• 8+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science projects, or consulting.
• 5+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
• 5+ years of experience building ML models and using ML tools.
• Experience with Consulting and/or Customer-facing Data Science roles.
• Experience with LLM.
• Experience with data visualization and building web apps with Python frameworks.
• Understanding of underlying data systems.
