Senior DevOps Engineer at Macrometa

Macrometa, a company disrupting the CDN-Edge Cloud space, is looking for a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the management and evolution of its geo-distributed data platform. This platform operates across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Linode) and on-premise infrastructure, serving high-volume traffic with strict reliability requirements. The candidate will drive automation initiatives, establish robust operational processes, and maintain high standards for system availability and performance.

What this role involves:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Linode) and on-premise environments
• Leading automation initiatives for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment
• Architecting and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Establishing and enforcing security best practices across all infrastructure components
• Designing and maintaining comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Driving continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and tooling
• Collaborating cross-functionally with development teams, product managers, and operations staff
• Developing and documenting operational procedures for deployment, management, and troubleshooting
• Evaluating and recommending new technologies and practices to improve platform capabilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in designing and managing large-scale distributed systems
• Multi-cloud environment management (AWS, GCP, Linode)
• On-premise infrastructure operations
• Python and shell scripting
• Linux systems administration (particularly Ubuntu)
• System logging analysis and performance optimization
• Object-oriented design and complexity analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellence in incident analysis and root cause determination
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives
• Experience with on-premises Kubernetes deployments preferred
• Expertise in Python preferred
• Experience with large-scale distributed data platforms preferred
