TransferGo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Vilnius. In this role, the individual will play a crucial part in shaping the way money is sent worldwide. The Senior Data Engineer will work within a team of skilled individuals, focusing on timely data delivery for a variety of needs.

The role involves contributing to the fintech industry, promoting technological advancements, and collaborating with a team of forward-thinking professionals. The Senior Data Engineer will reports to Data Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and support existing dbt models
  • Build data validation rules and data quality monitors
  • Build and maintain data products.
  • Guide data users on how data products should be used
  • Optimise data transformations for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Implement and maintain data governance across the company
  • Communicate with product teams regarding data quality issues

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of DBT tool
  • Excellent SQL knowledge
  • Experienced with dimensional data modeling techniques
  • Experience in performance tuning on analytics databases (like Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc). We are using Redshift.
  • Familiar with how data models are used in BI tools
  • Maintain data lake using AWS ecosystem (S3, Glue, EMR, LakeFormation, Lambda). Build real-time data processing pipelines.
