Senior Data Engineer

TransferGo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team and play a key role in shaping how money is sent worldwide. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for data delivery for a wide range of questions and help provide affordable financial services for migrants. The role will report to the Data Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new and support existing dbt models following dimensional modeling best practices.
• Build data validation rules and data quality monitors for data quality assurance.
• Build and maintain data products.
• Guide data users on how data products should be used.
• Optimise data transformations for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement and maintain data governance across the company.
• Communicate with product teams regarding data quality issues.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of DBT tool.
• Excellent SQL knowledge.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling techniques.
• Experience in performance tuning on analytics databases (like Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc). We are using Redshift.
• Familiar with how data models are used in BI tools.
• Maintain data lake using AWS ecosystem (S3, Glue, EMR, LakeFormation, Lambda).
• Build real-time data processing pipelines.
