Global Head, Oncology Development

Job Description

Recursion is seeking a Global Head of Oncology Development to champion computational approaches in clinical development. This role involves redefining oncology drug development paradigms and executing the oncology strategy. The Global Head will report to the Chief Medical Officer and will be a key member of the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Providing input on clinical plans and trial design.
• Defining disease area strategies and priorities.
• Ensuring ethical conduct of studies.
• Evaluating and scaling AI/ML tools for trial optimization.
• Drafting and reviewing medical aspects of study and regulatory documents.
• Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
• Exploring opportunities for simplification.

Requirements:

• MD with Board Certification in Medical Oncology or related specialty.
• Considerable pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience with innovative oncology programs leveraging digital transformation and data science.
• Understanding of R&D across the development/commercial life cycle.
• Track record of success in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
