Global Head, Rare Disease Development

Job Description

Recursion is seeking an experienced physician for the role of Global Head, Rare Disease Development. This role involves championing the use of computational approaches in clinical development and redefining traditional drug development paradigms. The Global Head will define disease area strategies, ensure patient focus, and support successful filings and commercialization. They will also evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools to optimize trial design and enhance patient recruitment. Responsibilities:

• Provide input on clinical plans and trial design.
• Define disease area strategies and priorities.
• Ensure ethical conduct of studies.
• Provide clinical oversight of research initiatives.
• Draft and review medical aspects of study and regulatory documents.
• Manage relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Explore opportunities for simplification.

Requirements:

• MD required, with 7+ years’ experience in Clinical Development.
• Experience in design, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials in rare diseases.
• Understanding of R&D across the development/commercial life cycle.
• Experience integrating AI/ML technologies into clinical development strategies.
• Effective skills in collaboration, influencing, and conflict resolution.
