The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building structured data assets from raw documents to build new products. He will work with a team of engineers, data scientists and subject-matter experts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering and a love for data.

Responsibilities involve:

• Developing large scale data processing pipelines
• Creating data assets from unstructured data
• Building and supporting internal and external facing APIs
• Authoring design documents
• Mentoring teammates
• Driving software engineering best practices
• Participating in code reviews
• Collaborating with a talented cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists and subject-matter experts

Requirements include:

• 4-5+ years of software engineering experience
• Previous experience working in a data heavy role
• Understanding of how to use cloud infrastructure effectively
• Natural problem-solving skills with an affinity for data
• Proficiency in breaking down large, ambiguous problems into well-defined tasks
• Value shipping code early and often
• Well-honed mental model for how software systems execute and interact
