Head of Compliance, Malta at OKX

OKX is seeking a Head of Compliance in Malta to lead and build a growing team and enhance key aspects of the compliance program. The Head of Compliance will report to the Head of Compliance EMEA.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the OKCoin Europe (Malta) compliance team.
• Develop and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks.
• Engage cross-functionally to implement an effective compliance management program.
• Monitor and assess compliance with Maltese / EU laws, regulations, and policies.
• Oversee annual, periodic, and on-demand compliance reviews and investigations.
• Conduct and oversee company training schedule.
• Act as the first point of contact for business team members in compliance issues.
• Prepare compliance reports for management and the board.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within financial services, payments, fintech, or crypto sectors.
• Experience leading an effective compliance management program in line with Malta / EU standards.
• Strong leadership experience, including dealing with senior business stakeholders.
• Good people management skills.
• Experience as a regulated compliance approved person or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of EU financial regulations e.g. MiFID, MIFIR and GDPR.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, critical thinker, and adept at working independently and in a dispersed team.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
