Senior Compliance Manager at OKX

OKX is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to join their team in Sliema, Malta. The role involves assisting the OEM Head of Compliance / MLRO in fulfilling regulatory obligations, maintaining compliance policies, monitoring compliance with laws, and conducting compliance reviews.The Senior Compliance Manager is expected to collaborate closely with the OEM Head of Compliance/MLRO, contributing to the development of a thriving compliance team and enhancing crucial aspects of their compliance program.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the OEM Head of Compliance / MLRO in training and advisory support to our business partners / stakeholders with regards to compliance.
• Help maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls and frameworks.
• Act as the deputy MLRO (DMLRO).
• Monitor and assess compliance with Maltese / EU laws, regulations and policies.
• Assist the OEM Head of Compliance / MLRO oversee annual, periodic and on-demand compliance reviews and investigations.
• Conduct and oversee company training schedules.
• Prepare compliance reports.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 6 years plus experience in regulatory compliance within the financial services, payments companies, fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Previous regulatory / supervisory / compliance experience in the investment services / derivatives industry.
• Working knowledge and experience of developing compliance policies.
• Experience of overseeing an effective compliance management program in line with Malta / EU standards.
• Good project management skills.
• Proven ability to work within and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, critical thinker and adept at working independently and in a dispersed team environment covering multiple and varied tasks.
• Intuitive, highly ethical and comfortable to question and challenge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
