Job Description
OKX is seeking a detail-oriented Specialist for Customer Due Diligence Operations (KYC) to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with KYC principles and regulations in the fast-growing cryptocurrency exchange.

The specialist will report to the KYC team and will be responsible for handling customer KYC cases, identifying potential risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and other AML or fraud-related issues. This requires prior experience in know-your-customer and sanctions compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive reviews of customer onboarding cases.
  • Reviewing and verifying KYC documents using validation tools.
  • Requesting necessary CDD/EDD documentation from customers.
  • Following up on pending CDD/EDD requests.
  • Investigating possible matches generated by scanning applications against sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media.
  • Providing information to management on AML/CDD issues.
  • Maintaining high-quality service levels and addressing queries professionally.
  • Supporting the enhancement of the CDD function and maintaining procedures.
  • Managing specific projects as required.

Requirements:
  • Completion of tertiary higher education (Higher Diploma, Degree, or higher).
  • Two or more years of experience in AML and CDD/EDD review or in a KYC work domain.
  • A team player mentality with excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
