Job Description

OKX is seeking a Data Architect to join its data team. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and managing OKX's data architecture to support its growing needs for robust, scalable, and secure data operations. The role involves optimizing data flow and storage for real-time and batch-processing data systems and shaping the data infrastructure.

What this role involves:

  • Designing and establishing data architectures using AWS EMR, Hive, S3, and PySpark.
  • Designing and developing AWS scripts or tools to improve the data dev experience.
  • Implementing and managing data solutions in Alibaba Cloud MaxCompute.
  • Leveraging Alibaba Cloud PAI for deploying advanced machine learning models and analytics.
  • Developing, maintaining, and scaling data pipelines while ensuring architectural coherence.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
  • Promoting data governance and security best practices.
  • Optimizing data retrieval processes and creating dashboard visualizations.
  • Addressing and resolving data-related technical issues, optimizing system performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a data architect role, ideally within fintech or a crypto exchange environment.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS services including EMR, Hive, and S3.
  • Proficiency in PySpark and Python; knowledge of Java and GoLang is advantageous.
  • Strong familiarity with Alibaba Cloud MaxCompute and PAI.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data architecture principles, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capability to perform in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
