Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Battery

Job Description

Harbinger Motors is seeking a Senior Battery Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for battery production. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of battery technology and strong problem-solving skills.Harbinger Motors is an American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company on a mission to transform an industry starving for innovation.What this role involves:

• Designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for battery production.
• Continuously improving manufacturing processes to enhance yield and reduce costs.
• Specifying, procuring, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborating with the quality team to develop and implement quality control measures.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Analyzing production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintaining detailed records of process parameters and equipment specifications.
• Ensuring all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, and maintenance.
• Training and supporting production staff on new processes and equipment operation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in battery manufacturing, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in manufacturing process design, equipment specification, and quality control in battery production.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
