Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Data Applications (Trading Services)

Job Description

OKX is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join their Trading Services team in Singapore. This role focuses on data applications within the trading domain, impacting millions of users. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance data applications, drive innovative data solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the design and development of high-performance, real-time, data-intensive applications for the trading domain
• Drive future-proof innovative data solutions to solve problems at scale
• Lead projects with an Agile mindset, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, Front End, QA and Infra engineers to get things done
• Uphold best practices in code quality, performance optimization, and data management are upheld across the team
• Mentor and support junior engineers, helping them grow their technical expertise

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in the big data domain
• Demonstrated success in solving complex data challenges
• Expertise in semi-structure data, data processing pipelines, data modeling, and OLAP solutions
• A solid educational background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), preferably Masters in Computer Science or above
• Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• A natural curiosity with the ability to navigate uncertainty and a keen attention to detail
