Senior Research Associate (Cellular)

Job Description

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Senior Research Associate to perform immunological, molecular, and cellular assay-based services for government and commercial clients. The Senior Research Associate will reliably perform services such as cell culture and bioassays, including luciferase-based neutralizing antibody assays. They will also be responsible for reagent production, human primary cell isolations, ELISA, ELISpot assays, and other related cell-based assays. The role involves recording and reporting results, preparing samples and solutions, and maintaining equipment.

Role involves:
• Maintaining cell cultures, harvesting, and cryopreserving cells per SOPs
• Conducting immunological assays including NAb assay, ELISA, ELISpot, MSD, etc.
• Planning and conducting bioassays at various scales for different customers
• Performing QC analyses (luciferase-based assays)
• Troubleshooting assays
• Performing research and development activities
• Assisting in new assay development and optimization
• Completing paperwork for QA/QC and GLP purposes
• Operating equipment such as spectrophotometer, MSD plate reader
• Assisting in training new and existing laboratory staff
• Drafting and editing SOPs
• Organizing data prior to submission
• Ensuring lab maintenance and equipment calibration
• Planning for raw material requirements and inventory management
• Maintaining a clean and safe lab environment

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field
• 4 years’ relevant laboratory experience
• Experience with cell-based assays such as NAb, ELISpots
• Good attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work well in a group environment and independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to lift and carry between 1-15 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend English
