Weber Shandwick is seeking a Public Relations Intern for their West Coast office in San Francisco. This internship offers the opportunity to work on integrated communications solutions for consumer and health clients. The intern will collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to data-driven, creative programs.
The intern will have exposure to campaigns for well-known brands and companies. They will be involved in various aspects of public relations and communications.
What the role involves:
- Crafting written communications including media materials and compelling social content
- Analyzing brands using various resources
- Sharing big ideas in brainstorms and with teams
- Pitching stories to media, develop media lists, track placements
- Tracking brands in traditional and social media
Requirements:
- College graduate by the start of the internship or demonstrated transferrable skills
- Ability to think creatively and unconventionally
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in digital and social media platforms
- Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering precise work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with platforms like Cision, Muckrack, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Brandwatch, and /or Quid a plus
- Availability to work 40 hours a week from June to August
