Position: 2025 Summer Intern - Sovereigns (Dublin)

Summary:

KBRA Europe is looking for an Intern to support its growing Sovereigns group that conducts credit analysis and monitors its portfolio of sovereigns, sub-sovereigns and supranationals primarily in Europe. The intern will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience into the life of a credit rating agency analyst and to learn valuable skills coveted in any corporate setting.

We are looking for a candidate who will thrive in a dynamic environment where multitasking and analytical skills are essential. The position has a duration of up to 9 months. This role will be based at KBRA’s Dublin office.

Key Job Requirements:

Provide analytical support in surveillance and new deal workflows Develop analytical materials to support the ratings process Support the team in database and data analytics needs Lead/assist in the development of sovereigns’ analytical tools Contribute to macro focused research Participate in due diligence meetings

Key Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in economics, international affairs, finance, business or any related fields result in strong analytical skills Keen interest in politics and policy, global affairs, macroeconomics, credit analysis and capital markets Knowledge of sovereign credit metrics and sources of data Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint Proficiency in SQL and VBA for querying databases is a strong advantage Exceptional attention to detail Curiosity and ability to learn quickly Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with others in a collaborative environment
