Interactive Brokers is seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst to join their team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for the validation, risk evaluation, processing, and post-distribution reconciliation of corporate action-related events. This role offers exposure to various corporate events, securities and derivatives products, and diverse trading venues.

The Corporate Actions Analyst will collaborate with internal and external clients, counterparties, clearing organizations, and depositories. Interactive Brokers values problem solvers and team players who are well-organized and reliable.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, monitor, and verify incoming corporate action information.
  • Analyze and reconcile the company's books and records with clearinghouses and banks.
  • Interface with clearinghouses and banks regarding instructions for corporate events.
  • Collect and analyze instructions from our customers.
  • Work on system enhancements to handle existing or new products and new markets.
  • Communicate with all the involved internal and external parties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred: science, mathematics or accounting preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of targeted Corporate Action experience, preferably at a broker-dealer, but all experienced candidates will be considered.
  • Knowledge of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and Government Securities.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
  • Must possess excellent oral/written communication and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication (Verbal and written) skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
