Backend Engineer at Spaceship

Spaceship, acquired by eToro in 2024, is seeking a Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of the platform and features for its next-generation products. The role involves addressing unique business challenges within the backend system and requires a proactive approach to maintaining code quality and a scalable product architecture. The engineer will have the opportunity to work in an open culture that promotes collaboration and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining the platform and features for Spaceship products
• Addressing challenges such as automatic daily striking of unit prices, processing high volumes of member transactions, and implementing fraud prevention mechanisms
• Integrating with banking, finance, KYC partners, and a US Brokerage Partner API

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer
• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Go, GraphQL, Postgres, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Pub Sub, or similar technologies
• Experience in DevOps is welcomed
• Must be an Australian resident
