What you’ll be working on
Oversee quantitative and qualitative scoping procedures to identify the next round of audits and the prioritization of audit targets Review terms of license agreements and monitor licensee’s compliance by developing a broad range of risk-based audit procedures and leading the execution of multiple concurrent audits Administer trend analysis of the royalties reported by licensees to identify unusual items or inconsistencies Perform ad hoc audit projects including desktop audits or fielding inquiries from licensees regarding royalty statements Proactive collaboration with a wide range of internal stakeholders to resolve audit matters Work closely and supervise the audit processes performed by third party auditors Develop and maintain a reporting methodology to update senior management on the status and results of the royalty audit program Identify opportunities for improvement in the audit process and our internal business processes (i.e., contract structuring, royalty calculation and revenue recognition, quarterly review, etc.) and work with key stakeholders to implement positive changesMust haves
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, or similar field 6 - 8 years of audit and accounting experience, a mix of public (big 4 preferable) and private, with royalty / licensing audit experience strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of the licensing business Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite Proven success in identifying audit findings and/or other improvement opportunities. Must possess the following traits: Confidence and must possess strong communication skills - ability to coordinate with personnel across the organization Ability to work both independently and to manage multiple concurrent tasks with limited supervision Ability to supervise internal and external team members Ability to organize and standardize processes and procedures Detail and deadline oriented Excellent analytic skills, and ability to identify inconsistencies, non-compliance or unusual items/trends that will require further investigation Ability to prepare work papers / reports in an accurate and concise manner Organized and possess good time management skills Advanced oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to convey contentious information and defend your position/perspective
Primary Location Salary Range:
$125,000 - $150,00
