As a ML Staff Researcher at Gong, you will play a key role in developing and deploying advanced machine learning models for our sales intelligence platform. Your work will drive innovation in sales forecasting, deal probability prediction, and revenue projection - directly impacting our customers’ strategic decision-making. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to transform complex data challenges into powerful AI-driven solutions, all within a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.
As a ML Staff Researcher, you will:
Design, develop, and deploy highly accurate and explainable machine learning models for sales forecasting, deal probability prediction, and revenue projection. Own the end-to-end model development lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment. Implement and optimize algorithms for handling large-scale datasets, ensuring real-time performance. Develop and maintain robust model monitoring and retraining processes to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate business needs into actionable AI solutions. Build and maintain analytics dashboards to visualize model performance and explain predictions. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and forecasting. Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for Gong’s AI initiatives.You should apply if you have:
Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost). Deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning). Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection. Proficiency in working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). Experience with cloud computing platforms: AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure and MLOps tools (advantage). Experience with data visualization Experience with explainable models techniques is a plus. Experience with time series analysis and forecasting techniques is a plus Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Passion for building high-quality, impactful products. Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, etc.) and sales data - an advantage.We operate in a flexible hybrid work model.
