Technical Support Senior Engineer - French Speaker ( Remote) at SonicWall

SonicWall is seeking a Technical Support Senior Engineer to provide technical support for its product lines. This role is remote, but only for candidates located in Romania. The engineer will assist customers with the deployment of SonicWall network security products, provide technical solutions and workarounds, and own customer issues from beginning to resolution. They will diagnose problems, provide resolutions, and educate customers. The engineer will also work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to replicate issues, validate bug fixes, and provide feedback on products.

• Providing technical support across SonicWall product lines via Phone, Web, and Email
• Assisting customers with deployment of SonicWall network security products
• Providing technical solutions and workarounds for end-users
• Owning customer issues from beginning to resolution
• Diagnosing problems and providing resolutions

Requirements:

• Good understanding of Security, LAN/WAN topologies and technologies
• In-depth knowledge of OSI Model, TCP/IP, Network Security basics
• Ability to work in a high-level stress and interrupt-driven environment
• Good understanding of L2-L7 networking protocols, major Operating Systems such as UNIX / Linux
• Demonstrated ability to use in-depth troubleshooting to resolve or workaround customer issues
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Sciences/ Electronic & Communications Engineering
• 2-4 years of networking and network security support experience
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP. Routing Protocols like OSPF, RIP, BGP, Firewall, IDS/IPS (added advantage)
• French speaker
