NewGlobe is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join their Lagos-based software development team. This role focuses on building and enhancing the software that powers the learning management platform and other technologies used in academies. The Senior Android Engineer will collaborate with server-side developers to design APIs, improve scalability and stability, and introduce best practices in mobile development.
Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements, build, test, and ship new Android functionality.
- Collaborate with server-side developers to design APIs.
- Engage on all dimensions of the app, from UI and UX to business logic.
- Introduce architectural patterns to improve scalability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with superior academic performance.
- At least 3 years of professional Android development experience.
- Full lifecycle experience, from conceptualization to deployment.
- Experience writing library projects reused across multiple apps.
- Knowledge of Gradle and DI.
- Experience architecting whole Android applications.
- Belief in automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
