We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Media Supervisor to lead and manage media strategies for our clients, with a specific focus on digital channels. This role demands a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, particularly within the video space, including platforms like YouTube, streaming services and traditional television. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful media campaigns that drive measurable results. You will lead a team of media specialists, overseeing their work and fostering their professional growth. Please note, the role is hybrid and will require days in our Chicago office.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Media Planning
Conduct thorough market research and audience analysis to identify target demographics and optimal video media channels. Develop comprehensive media plans aligned with client goals, budgets, and timelines, including channel recommendations across digital video (YouTube, OTT, Connected TV) and traditional TV. Analyze competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate client campaigns within the video space.Media Buying & Negotiation
Manage the media buying process, including negotiating rates and placements with media vendors. Secure optimal inventory and pricing based on client needs and campaign objectives across relevant platforms.Campaign Management & Optimization
Monitor campaign performance closely, tracking key metrics such as impressions, reach, frequency, viewability, listen-through rates, conversions, and ROI. Analyze campaign data and identify opportunities for optimization, including real-time adjustments to targeting and budget allocation within video channels. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients based on campaign performance.Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary media contact for assigned clients, maintaining open communication and building strong relationships. Present media plans and campaign results to clients, clearly explaining key findings and recommendations. Proactively address client concerns and manage expectations throughout the campaign lifecycle.Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor a team of media specialists, delegating tasks and providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities. Ensure team members are proficient in media planning tools and industry best practices related to video and audio advertising.What you’ll need:
5+ years of proven experience in media planning and buying, with a significant focus on video channels (digital video, OTT and traditional TV) and leveraging media platforms (The Trade Desk, Google DV360, etc.). Strong analytical skills with proficiency in media measurement tools and reporting platforms specific to video and audio. (e.g., Nielsen, comScore, Google Analytics) Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex media strategies to clients. Deep understanding of target audience segmentation and consumer behavior, particularly as it relates to video consumption. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable media placements and pricing. Knowledge of emerging media trends and technologies within the video and audio landscape to be shared across the Agency. Experience managing and mentoring a team.The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
