Job Description
Verkada is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on building cloud-managed intercom systems. This role involves working on the Intercom product line, which allows customers to receive calls from anywhere with rich video and 2-way audio. The team operates like a startup within a startup, offering ownership and autonomy. The engineer will collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers to further develop the product line.
Role Involves:
- Developing cloud-managed intercom systems.
- Collaborating with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers.
- Driving product ideas to completion.
Requirements:
- BS or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or science.
- 3+ years of experience working on Linux development as a Software Engineer.
- Proficient in C. Go and Python are nice to have.
- Experience working in an agile team environment.
- Familiar with Linux servers, Linux device drivers, Linux kernel patches, secure operating systems and security focused programming.
- Preferred experience working with embedded Linux, cameras, audio and video processing.
