OpenTable, a leader in the hospitality industry, is seeking a QA Engineer to join their SEO team. This team is part of the Diner Growth collective and focuses on connecting diners and restaurants through exceptional discovery experiences. This is a new QA Engineer position and the company consider it a crucial role, encouraging the individual to establish best practices and enhance QA and testing procedures across the team. The QA Engineer will collaborate with a team distributed between London, Berlin, and Kaunas, with a primary focus on achieving growth for OpenTable through search engine optimization strategies.
Role Involves:
  • Ensuring pages and components function correctly across various browsers and devices.
  • Validating SEO fundamentals, such as the quality and consistency of page metadata.
  • Ensuring the content provided to diners is of the highest quality across all languages.
  • Testing page markup and structured data implementation consistency.
  • Auditing internal linking structures.
  • Testing and reporting on load time and page speed optimizations.
  • Performing usability testing.
  • Testing for correct implementation of product and design requirements for user flows.
Requirements:
  • A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers.
  • A proactive work ethic to create testing strategies and integrate them into the development process.
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing.
  • Experience in creating and executing comprehensive test plans.
  • Hands-on experience in exploratory testing techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including Agile and Kanban.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
