NextEnergy Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead finance asset management services for a key client in Italy. The ideal candidate will be passionate, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role involves managing financial matters for a portfolio of renewable energy plants, overseeing deliverables from outsourced service providers, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and high customer service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Onboarding: Managing checklists, aligning financial reporting standards, and handling KYC documentation.
  • Reporting: Reviewing management accounts, delivering financial reporting packs, and managing relationships with auditors.
  • Cash Management: Managing invoicing and payment processes, tracking cash flow, and maintaining liquidity forecasts.
  • Systems and Processes: Implementing and maintaining finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Tax: Managing local tax compliance matters, supporting tax advisors, and ensuring timely tax payments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with other Wise delivery functions.
  • Ad-hoc: Handling various tasks to support the team's agility.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ finance experience.
  • Experience in using the accounting system Profis/E-solver.
  • Process improvement and operational efficiency skills.
  • Experience working for scale-up businesses.
  • Experience in overseeing third-party service providers.
  • Interest in the renewable sector.
  • The right to work in Italy.
  • Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages).
  • IT Literacy.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
