Job Description
Luminar Semiconductor Inc. is seeking a Production Test Technician III to join their Operations team in Bedford, MA. In this role, the technician will be responsible for assembling, configuring, and testing laser systems, including setup, diagnostics, and product verification. The technician will also gather and present test data to support high-reliability aerospace and defense products.Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-level testing on multiple product types.
  • Execute final processing of devices for assigned product lines.
  • Conduct tactile fiber inspection practices.
  • Perform external visual inspection on applicable products.
  • Operate and maintain optical, test, and analytical instruments.
  • Assist in the development and validation of test routines.
  • Record, organize, and collect test data and generate test reports.
  • Provide test support to NPI projects and programs.
  • Setup and reconfigure test stations.
  • Support the generation of bills of materials, schematics, and manufacturing procedures for test stations.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Test Technician role validating semiconductor or Photonics devices
  • Experience in Photonics and their applications, specifically fibre optics preferred
  • Extensive hands-on experience with fiber optic and electronic test equipment, instrumentation, tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Continual Improvement strategy.
  • Schematic reading, electronic debug skills
  • Hardware to database SW interfacing
  • Ability to work 8 hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE
  • Use of Microsoft Office products, i.e. MS Word and MS Excel
  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences or military training or equivalent experience
