Account Executive, Commercial at Smartsheet

Smartsheet is looking for an experienced sales professional to join their team as an Account Executive, Commercial. The role is part of the Commercial Sales team and reports to the Regional Director Sales based in Sydney. This is an opportunity to be a part of Smartsheet at this exciting time and expand the Smartsheet brand across an established market.

The role involves:

• Achieving revenue targets by exceeding sales quotas.
• Developing and strategizing account plans.
• Managing strategic sales motions alongside transactional opportunities.
• Conducting needs assessment calls with prospects.
• Ensuring Smartsheet success in retention and growth of account revenue.
• Consulting with clients to define collaboration goals.
• Exceeding quotas using a formal understanding of Solution/Consultative Selling.
• Managing a book of business for expansion and up-sell opportunities.
• Being the subject matter expert of Smartsheet.
• Providing support to customers and prospects.
• Maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline management.

Requirements:

• 7+ years proven sales track record – 5+ years in a SaaS environment.
• Experience managing customer relationships in a B2B environment.
• Sales experience in a technology oriented field.
• Knowledge of each stage in the sales cycle to promote the sale.
• Ability to work with multiple functional departments.
• Excellent ability in analyzing cross-sell and up-sell potential.
• Experience prospecting and managing a designated territory.
• Ability to investigate accounts to uncover opportunities.
• Ability to deal well with pressure.
• Familiarity of CRM software packages and Microsoft Office.
• Passion for working with new technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
